# CAST

The solidified carbon production supply chain involves multiple organisations, from biomass providers to logistics companies, posing challenges in transparency and integrity assurance. The carbon capture supply chain requires verification to ensure process authenticity, but regulatory authorities struggle to monitor it due to its complexity.&#x20;

[Trust Trail (CAST)](https://www.deeptechcenter.org/post/introducing-trust-trail-a-platform-for-auditing-carbon-capture-processes) addresses this using blockchain and smart data models for transparency and reliability in the biomass supply chain. Within the CAST experiment, FIWARE context brokers ensure asset authenticity, while JadenX GmbH integrates [iSHARE components](https://dev.ishare.eu/) for secure data exchange among participants. This ensures that only authorised parties can access relevant information and offers production-grade components designed specifically for this CAST experiment.&#x20;
