# GlobShare

The Breakbulk supply chain presents significant challenges, including inter-modal transport, diverse cargo, and specific storage requirements, all managed through manual handling processes. This leads to limited visibility on disruptions, damages, and delays, with back offices relying on outdated communication methods. GlobShare addresses these challenges by creating a dedicated "Data Space" designed to optimise breakbulk supply chain processes.

With the implementation of i4Trust Building Blocks and FIWARE Context Broker capabilities, GlobShare developed Digital Twins Data Models that leverage the [iSHARE Trust Framework](https://framework.ishare.eu/) for secure data exchange and authorisation processes. This ensures participants can access and modify data securely and reliably within the supply chain. Globis further aims to secure historical context data using the Mintaka interface and the Kong API Gateway with the [ngsi-ishare-policies plugin](https://luarocks.org/modules/fiware/kong-plugin-ngsi-ishare-policies). The iSHARE Trust Framework helps ensure decentralised trust within the Logistics Data Space.
