# eV2W

The concept of wine traceability is highly desired and valuable in wine marketing and sales, but achieving proper traceability is challenging due to the complexity of the wine supply chain. Full traceability from vineyard to bottle is rarely implemented, primarily due to the fragmented nature of the value chain.

This fragmentation complicates data sharing for effective traceability, impacting wine safety, marketing, and quality improvement. eVine2Wine, developed and piloted within i4Trust, addresses this challenge by using iSHARE components and the FIWARE Context Broker, which holds the Digital Twin of the vineyard block data, including relevant microclimatic data, to share specific vineyard data with different stakeholders.

eVine2Wine also employs the [iSHARE Participant Registry](https://trustbok.ishare.eu/apply-ishare/participant-registry) to manage vineyard block data access and the conditions under which it can be accessed. This allows selective sharing of data with viticulture advisors, wineries, and marketing companies, improving wine quality and communicating traceability for consumers.

i4Trust, with FIWARE components and the [iSHARE Trust Framework](https://framework.ishare.eu/), has helped eVineyard develop an innovative service for its customers' value chain in the Smart AgriFood sector.
