# DTaaS4aero

The aeronautical industry faces increasing pressure to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, particularly in improving the life-cycle efficiency of aeronautical infrastructure. The absence of effective feedback and communication among various stakeholders hinders the extensive sharing and valorisation of data.

DTaaS4aero addresses this challenge by providing a Digital Twin solution that not only generates, validates, and disseminates CNS system performance data but also ensures secure data exchange. All data exchange transactions are managed through APIs, with access controlled by PBAC rules and pricing structures established using [iSHARE](https://framework.ishare.eu) and [FIWARE Building Blocks.](https://github.com/i4Trust/building-blocks)

The DTaaS4aero data space architecture incorporates data aggregation and processing by LA ISLA and is operated by the Data Space Connector to maintain access control through iSHARE tokens (authenticated via the [iSHARE Participant Registry](https://trustbok.ishare.eu/apply-ishare/participant-registry)). Industrial partner SMEs retain their iSHARE verified certificates and utilise the i4Trust marketplace to manage their Keyrock instances, configured as external Identity Providers (IDPs) and Authorization Registries, which facilitate data sharing and individual and global business models (including cost and revenue sharing).
