Tourism, one of the world’s largest industries, is experiencing a digital revolution with data-driven innovation and personalisation. However, this sector faces a significant challenge, with many tourism entities reluctant to share data due to fears of losing competitive advantage. This lack of collaboration limits industry-wide innovation and holistic growth.
TOURiLab-SDG addresses these challenges by creating a trusted i4Trust-enabled data space that encourages collaboration and innovation, driving the industry forward. TOURiLab leverages FIWARE and integrates iSHARE components to establish a secure and streamlined data exchange ecosystem that enables stakeholders to collaboratively share and access pivotal data. TOURiLab plans to achieve this by incorporating actual data in future iterations as post-implementation measures to ensure visitor consent and data control.
In the M2M flow, each Service Provider and Consumer integrated fundamental i4Trust components such as Orion-LD, Keyrock, and Kong. Keyrock verifies the data consumer's entitlement in the iSHARE Satellite of the trusted data space, granting an access token if validated. Kong verifies this token to ensure the data consumer has authorised access to the required resource. This process involves querying the Authorization Registry with a suitable delegation request payload. A policy generation tool has been set up to instruct the Authorization Registry to allow or deny access, enabling trusted entities to control data permissions effectively.
